Chlorine Allergy

Do you think you have an allergy to chlorine?  Perhaps, rather than an allergy to chlorine, you skin is more sensitive to chemicals in your pool or spa.  In either case, you may be experiencing the following symptoms:

  • Skin redness, tender to touch skin, inflammation, or itchiness at the site of contact
  • Skin  rash or lesions
  • Crust or scales on the surface of the skin

People with chlorine allergies, or sensitivity to chlorine, find indoor pool facilities much worse that an outdoor pool.  However, it is not uncommon for these people to be irritated by either situation.
