How will an Ultraviolet System for your pool or spa save you money?

UV pool systems will help reduce pool operating costs significantly. With an Ultraviolet Pools system you will drastically reduce the need for chemicals in your pool. As the cost of chlorine continues to rise operating a pool becomes more daunting. This in conjunction with the increasing awareness of the health risks adds greater concern. Furthermore, harmful chemicals can play havoc on your pool equipment. This can dramatically reduce the life expensive components of your pool.

Installing an Ultraviolet Pools system will reduce the need for harmful chemicals by as much as 90%. In fact, we recommend only 0.3 to 0.5 ppm chlorine levels. This represents a significant savings on chemical purchases. In addition, with the decrease in the volume of these chemicals, pool equipment will have a much longer life. The UV system will provide a clear, clean and healthy pool for your family.

What are the costs associated with owning a UV system?

The operation and maintenance costs are very low. In fact, in most cases the only cost associated with operating the UV system is the same as that of a household light bulb. One of the big advantages to the Ultraviolet Pools system is its low power draw and resulting low operating cost. Each lamp is the equivalent to a 60W light bulb.  Therefore, even our largest unit with 3 lamps is less that 180W.

The UV lamps are designed to last up to 18 months. Aside from a periodic cleaning of the quartz tube(s) and scheduled lamp replacement (easily accomplished by the homeowner), no other maintenance of the Ultraviolet Pools system is required.
